"Proclaim The Truth"

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

This Bible Study has been design to explain exactly what the Bible teaches concerning God's Plan of Salvation for today.  So, let's open our hearts as it "Proclaims the Truth!"


I. John 3:3-6
            Jesus said that you must be born of the and of the .

II. John 17:18-20
            Jesus prays for us to believe on Him, through the Apostles' words.

III. Acts 1:3
            After the resurrection, Jesus spent days with the Apostles speaking of the things
            pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

Note: Jesus teaches and instructs them on "what to preach".

IV. Acts 2:1-4 (To the Apostles)
            They were all filled with the and began to speak in other as the Spirit
            gave them utterance.

V. Acts 2:36-39 (To the Jews)
            (Verse 38) "Then Peter said unto them, and be everyone of you in the

for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the

Note: Compare this with what Jesus said in John 3:5 (born of the water and of the Spirit).

VI. Acts 8:12-18 (To the Samaritans)
            (Verse 16) Were they baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus?

            (Verse 17) Did they receive the Holy Ghost?

YES     NO

            In verse 18, Simon that through the laying on of the Apostles hands the Holy Ghost was given.

VII. Acts 10:44-48 (To the Gentiles)
            (Verse 45) The Jews that came with Peter were astonished because that on the Gentiles
            also was poured out the Gift of the .

            (Verse 46) For they them speak with , and magnify God.

            In verse 48, Peter them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.

VIII. Acts 19:1-6 (Do people need to be re-baptized in Jesus' Name?)
            (Verse 3) These believers were baptized unto baptism.

            In verse 5, they were baptized again in the Name of .

            (Verse 6) The Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with .

IX. Acts 22:16
            There was a calling on the Name of the Lord when Paul was baptized.

            It is important what name is "called" over you when you are baptized!

Conclusion:

To be born again I must:

  •    Repent

  •    Be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ

  •    Receive the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
